The Office of the Minister of Arts and Sciences

The Minister of Arts and Sciences (MoAS) is responsible for promoting and reporting the goings on of Arts and Sciences within a Shire. Practically any endeavor or project within the SCA can fit under the titles of Art or Science. Virtually everything that was done in medieval times to get through day-to-day life, be it make soap, prepare meals, weave cloth, sew clothing, brewing, woodworking, metalworking, armouring, blacksmithing, animal husbandry, making jewelry, boat building - - everything pretty much, we research and do within the SCA to gain the knowledge of what it was like for medieval people to do these tasks. If there was something that was done in period, then someone in the SCA has tried to recreate it.
